The Good Shepherd
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 12: 1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present yourselves a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

The above is what is known as the "Roman Road". It is the road that must be taken by all who would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. What must be understood is that we all have sinned and the penalty of sin is death - separation from God for eternity. But because of his love for us, God came to earth, born of a virgin, to live as a man, Jesus Christ. He suffered on the cross and took upon himself all of our sins: past, present and future, and he died in our stead. So great a love has God for us, his children, that he would suffer the pangs of the death of mortal man. But, glory of glories, death could not hold him and Christ rose from the grave to live eternally at the right hand of God. I serve a living Lord, hallelujah! He is the Good Shepherd as a herding dog lover can well understand! If I can answer any questions for you concerning my beliefs, just drop me a line.
